Leyland Festival 2018

Saturday 16th June brought us to another Leyland Festival. This year with the overall theme of World Book Day we set about the task to bring Alice in Wonderland to life.

Another amazing effort was put in by our parents, grandparents, aunties & uncles to create costumes and decorations and the effects were outstanding yet again.

Our Senior students arrived at Prospect House bright and early to rehearse their routines for the park and were later followed by our younger cohort to be all costumed up. Another great effort from parents was made and our students were costumed, made-up and glittered before strolling down to meet our float. They were speechless as Wonderland opened out in front of them.

Throughout the parade the sun remained shining and everyone had a fantastic time dancing away on the float. We made it onto Worden Park just in time for the heavens to open and, unfortunately, the remainder of the festival was a wash-out. BUT .... we're already excited for next years entry .... bigger and better every year!
